Completed and ongoing projects

Over 50 years, we have completed a large number of projects in multiple sectors such as roads, bridges, offices, hospitals, hotels, stadiums, factories and metro stations.

Athens Metro

D. Bairaktaris and Asssociates has been an active member of the Athens metro construction since the very beginning, having worked on its design and the static analysis of many stations, such as Agia Paraskevi, Nomismatokopio, Cholargos, Monastiraki and many more, as well as both the station and carriage service of Ellinikon. Our extensive experience has rendered us one of the most prominent Metro analysts in Greece.

Sports facilities

We have designed a number of stadium across Greece, many of which were very innovative designs for their time. This demanded excellent mechanical ingenuity and craftsmanship due to their complicated geometries that characterise constructs such as the Peace and Friendship Stadium. Since then, we have also designed the Tae Kwon do, Beach Volley, the Football and Basketball Olympic Stadia and the swimming facilities in the Kalogreza Olympic complex.

Hospitals

Our office has designed a number of hospitals across Greece and other countries, the most recent of which are the General Hospital in Chalkida, the Erasinion Oncological Centre and the Hygeia Hospital in Tirana, Albania.

Hotels

D. Bairaktaris and Asssociates has completed structural designs for hotels in numerous famous destinations in Greece, such as Crete, Rhodes and Chalkidiki. Some examples are the G Hotels building complex in Athos Palace, Palini beach, the Porto Karras Hotel and Marina in Chalkidiki, Rodos Palace and Louis Colossus Beach Hotel in Rhodes and Elounda Village in Crete.

Bridges

We have extensive experience in designing bridges with various methods such as:

River, valley and gorge bridges, intersections and junctions with simply supported or continuous beams of reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel bridges, erection of cantilevered constructed bridges with precast segment, constructions with progressive launching, cable-stayed and arched bridges.

Indicatively: the river Nestos bridge, the pedestrian Calatrava bridge, the pedestrian bridge at Isthmus of Corinth.

Road junctions and bridges

We have participated in numerous projects, such as: Attiki Odos, Engatia Odos and Ethniki Odos throughout Greece.

Buildings

D. Bairaktaris and Asssociates have completed the construction of building of various sizes and uses, ranging from houses to apartment and office buildings, to malls and factories.

Industrial

D. Bairaktaris and Asssociates have participated in large scale industrial projects, such as the ‘Soya Hellas’ factory.

Restorations and Reconstructions

Our offices is known for the careful handling of restorations and reconstructions. A notable example is the Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae of Phigaleia, a project truly dear to our hears that reflects the personal consideration that we invest in our work.
