Bairaktaris & Associate, Structural Design Office LTD” was established in 1962 in Athens to carry out the design, analysis, supervision and management of civil engineering projects. Its speciality\u00a0 is the design of the bearing structure for special projects. In 1980, the company took on new partners and extended its activities in the development of methods of analysis and construction. In 2008, the company offices underwent an extensive re-equipment. Equipped with the latest computer facilities the company is also engaged in the development of software as a respectable partner in a number of European Projects. During the perennial run of this company, we have been involved to a large extent in the majority of the notable projects throughout Greece, such as large highways and railways, ports and airports, the Athens Metro Network, the Olympic Games of 2004 and a large number of industrial, commercial and residential buildings. D. Bairaktaris and Associates has been involved in European research programs for a number of years, specialising in the assessment and maintenance of critical, existing infrastructures.
